Camp Carroll had some interesting
weather, the sunsets could be
fabulous with colors I have never
seen any where else. The rainy
seasons (monsoons) could
definitely put a damper on things,
and that mud would get thicker
and deeper each day.

Here we have a work party of Radio Relay guys building a new Relay bunker. You can see the entrance to
the existing bunker between Clark (marine standing) and Jim (marine sitting on bunker). Bob and Dave
look to be having a discussion plus being NCO's they are supervising Lewis on how to swing that pick :)

Here is a interesting thing you guys might have forgotten.
After we were at Carroll for a short time the orders came
out we were to wear one dog tag around the neck and one
on the boot. That way at least if you were hit by a rocket or
artillery shell they figured the foot would still be there.

Photo on the left of Bob and Dave and you can just make
out the dog tag on their boots, right photo is a closeup and
I put a red square for you to zero in on.
