Camp Carroll At Night
If you had to spend the night out on the line the flares were a welcome site to break
the darkness out in front of you. I don't think a hour went by at camp Carroll where
you wouldn't see a flare floating down either close or out in the distance. We were
located on a plateau and could see all the way to the ocean which was about 15 miles
away and the DMZ about 7 to 9 miles in the north east direction. ( Feel free to correct
me if I'm mistaken on the distances.)
